Juliana is a Biomedical Scientist with a First Class Honours Degree in Neurobiology and Neuroscience, received from the University of Sao Paulo (USP).
Currently, she is a Ph.D. student on a QUT Postgraduate Research Award (QUTPRA) for International Students. She is based in Associate Professor Anthony White’s Cellular and Molecular Neurodegeneration Lab at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute.
Her research is focused on the development of a better in vitro model to study mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's disease.
To expand her research skills and obtain experience in the industry, Juliana joined Gelomics and helping in optimizing "Tissue-derived hydrogel matrices for 3D cell and organoid culture".
